Modern Basement Apartment

Donald Lococo Architects renovate this small apartment with a simple and playful design. By keeping the backdrop in a neutral palette, the space feels airy and bright. Pops of colour placed strategically inject the scheme with vibrancy while mid century modern furniture pieces and a well planned layout gives an open feel.

An exposed brick wall add interest and charm but as it is painted white, doesn’t detract from the overall scheme.

A faux cowhide rug adds textural interest in the living room. Paired with wood elements, it lends a warm feel.

Colourful coat pegs in  funky shapes adds zing to the entryway. Placed in a “chaotic ” way adds additional interest. A lime green chair gives a balanced look.

Bespoke cabinetry provides adequate storage space but at the same time still maintains a streamlined feel.
