The Pracownia Club & Restaurant is a conceptual restaurant designed by interior designer Karina Wiciak of Wamhouse. The name Pracownia in Polish means “workshop” and this can be seen from the theatrical design which resembles an artist’s studio where surfaces and furniture are covered in paint splotches. The idea behind the chaotic design is to capture and please art lovers.
Karina Wiciak plays with scale within this space by using structural columns in the form of giant paintbrushes giving the space a fantastical appeal.
Even the furniture and accent pieces take part in the story. Table bases, lamps and stools are formed from paint buckets. The glass table tops and pendant lights resemble a painter’s palette. While the lounge chairs and bar stools look like upturned pails.
The design is so seamless that the concept is even carried through in the restaurant’s bathroom.
